"Grease Pencil Next" tool development begins

The company Paramotion Films receives a grant from CDTI within the framework of the call for business R&D projects in the fields of audiovisual and video games. For the execution of the "RESEARCH, DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF NOVEL PIPELINE IN VR ENVIRONMENT FOR AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION" which will allow the development of the tool "Grease Pencil Next".

This tool will be used to draw and animate using virtual environments, which will open up a new way of working in animation production, allowing faster performance in prototyping and pre-production processes in all types of audiovisual animation products.

This project arose after a long analysis of VR tools, which revealed the lack of use of this technology in the animation industry. At present, its use is destined to entertainment and no professional tools have been developed to take advantage of its full potential.

From Paramotion Films we firmly believe that the development of this tool will create a paradigm shift in the way of working, where existing professionals will have new opportunities for creation in the prototyping of projects in a faster and more intuitive way, which will lead to a reduction of time and costs in these previous processes, a fundamental aspect to ensure that the projects finally go ahead.
