MASTERS OF VR ANIMATION: NICK LADD
With Canadian VR artist and animator, founding member of the Virtual Animation community. Conference in which we will learn about his most recent work (“Namoo”, a short film shortlisted for the 2022 Oscars) and Studio Syro (“Tales from Soda Island”, a series made entirely in Quill) in addition to the Virtual Animation collective.

NEW TOOLS FOR STORYBOARDING AND ANIMATICS

Within the Next Lab 2021 event, Dan Franke, one of the creators of Studio Syro, tells us about the experience of having a creative studio where the main tool is Quill. How they organize their work, what the clients think, what challenges they have faced, in short, the guts of what may be the model of the animation production company of the future.
Dan Franke is the Co-Founder of Studio Syro, a virtual animation studio with an international team of designers, animators, and developers who use the VR Quill painting tool to produce handcrafted experiences both in and outside of VR. He is currently directing "Tales from Soda Island," the first virtual reality series created entirely in virtual reality.
